Gryphon as RWD at the '05 National Specialty, 13 months
Gryphon was pick male in a wonderful litter. He was intended for a first-time show home until the owner-to-be dropped out; and that was a piece of luck! He's now a permanent part of my family and breeding program. Though shown only at specialties until his sister, Panda, finished her championship, he impressed nonetheless. At the Southern California Specialty, at nine months, he was awarded Best In Sweepstakes, and Winners Dog for a 5-point major. At the National Specialty a few months later he won 2nd in a large Sweeps class, and Reserve Winners Dog over 70 other males.
Gryphon, who finished his championship with three majors, boasts excellent Cardigan breed type: big round bone and overall substance without being coarse, level topline, superb length of body, good balance, and a happy, outgoing temperament. He is OFA Good, PRA Clear, and his CERF evaluation was Normal. As of 2008 he has five litters on the ground, including five champions, four with majors, and several others who are pointed. He sired Can Ch. Cheysuli Aberwyvern, Bone Appetit, the #2 Cardigan in Canada. Gryphon's DNA profile is on file with the AKC, and he is available via private treaty to quality bitches who have their health clearances. |
